NEET 2021 Merit List Tie-Breaking Policy:
A tie happens when two or more contenders receive the same score. In this instance, the authorities will utilise tie-breaking techniques to establish the rank. The method for severing relationships is outlined below.
• Biology Grades - Candidates with higher Biology grades will be given priority over those with lower grades.
• Chemistry Grades - If the biology grade criteria are ineffectual and there is still a tie, those with higher chemistry grades will be chosen.
• Fewer Erroneous Questions - If the first two methods fail to break the tie, the third method is used, in which candidates with fewer incorrect answers are given priority over others.
• Age Factor – If all other variables have failed to break a tie, the age factor is used. In terms of merit ranking, candidates that are older are given a preference.
